How It Started
The team at TPŌMA engaged The Commute to capture a library of video content that showcases the brand-new facility ahead of its official launch in late 2023. The shoot aligned with the facility’s wider strategic goals, including its event strategy (also prepared by The Commute), which encouraged visitors to catch an exhibition, stay for a show and spend time in the Clutha District.
What We Did
Ahead of the shoot, The Commute co-ordinated the upcoming shoot days remotely from their studio in Melbourne, Australia. Collaborating with board members, staff, community members and Dunedin-based photographer Rewa Pene. Founder Nick McCabe-Schultz then travelled to Balclutha, New Zealand, to capture the project.
In two days, we captured an impressive amount of 4K, high-frame-rate, campaign-quality video content. During the short timeline, we shot over 44 scenes, including real estate-focused content and showcasing local members of the community utilising the space. The shoot also featured TPŌMA Co-Work, areas for lease, spaces for hire (meeting rooms, auditorium, and much more), tenants, and other amenities. We also captured images and videos of the exterior with an aerial drone.
What They Got
The Commute is proud to showcase this completed campaign. Te Pou Ō Mata-Au holds a special place in our hearts as our Founder, Nick McCabe-Schultz, was born and raised in the Clutha District. The Commute has donated over $22,000 of volunteer resources to support the project’s construction and ongoing development.
